Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima took to Twitter today admitting he’s depressed by the recent gameplay trailer for Grand Theft Auto V and concerned that Metal Gear Solid V won’t be able to compete.
Obviously in awe of what Rockstar have accomplished, Kojima praised the team, labelling them “the best” and claiming they set a new standard for game developers to strive for.
“GTA V” new trailer was awesome! This free control is future of the game, way higher than anywhere, makes me depress as matter fact.(cont..)

I don’t think our “V” can reach that level. Rockstar’s team are the best. W/o question they will pull up the possibility of game.

The Grand Theft Auto V trailer in question can be found below and I think we can all agree it certainly looks mind-blowing, but then so does Metal Gear Solid V.

Hedeo Kojima did an honorable thing by complimenting the wonderful job that Rockstar games has done with their upcoming video game, Grand Theft Auto 5. However, I think he shouldn’t have said that Metal Gear Solid V won’t be as good as GTA V. This might cause MGS V fans to have low expectations.
