Konami has announced an Ultimate Edition of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will be arriving on PC, both at retail and digitally in three months time
The Steam download of the gothic action-adventure will be made available across Europe on August 27, with a boxed version following on August 30. Both will feature the full game as well as two additional chapters entitled Reverie and Resurrection respectfully.
The Ultimate Edition features several improvements over its console counterpart.
It boasts enhanced 1080p HD graphics, runs at a solid 60 frames per second via recommended spec, and offers trophy integration through Steam with Cloud saving.
Originally launced on Xbox 360 and PS3 in October 2010, Lords of Shadow – the 38th Castlevania game in the franchise – holds impressive Metascores of 83 and 85 on consoles.
Its sequel, announced at E3 2012, is currently in development at Madrid-based studio MercurySteam for current gen systems as well as PC, but as of yet no release date has been confirmed.
